Luckily I did not have an incident requiring use of the coverage, but I have in years past, and Generali Global Assistance provided a rapid response and covered what was needed. I will always use them for my travel insurance.

My flight to Europe on a major U.S. airline was delayed and then cancelled leaving my nonrefundable and non-changeable tickets on a low cost European carrier useless. I had to repurchase tickets at the last minute at more than 2x the cost. After my trip, I submitted a claim with all the required documents and a little more than 2 weeks later I received a check for the full cost of the replacement airfare. I also submitted a receipt for my dinner at the airport during the delay and I received a separate check for that amount about a week later. I am very satisfied by my trip insurance purchase and will definitely buy from Generali again. The cost was well worth the peace of mind.
