Well, you hate to have to use insurance, but the "any reason" insurance made it easy to get reimbursed for my unplanned trip expenses. I highly recommend getting cancel for any reason policies.

We used InsureMyTrip to purchase a C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector plan for our trip to Switzerland, Austria, and the Czech Republic, as part of a tour with the Hickory Choral Society to sing in several venues. This would have been a "trip of a lifetime" but, unfortunately, my wife's Dad passed away literally minutes before our flight was to depart from Charlotte, NC. Although, the price of the policy was a little higher than I would have liked, the coverage was great and the company was great to work with upon my father-in-law's passing. We received a refund promptly, which included the cost of the tour with the Hickory Choral Society, as well as the fee charged by American Airlines for re-depositing the miles we used for the air transportation. The company did everything they should have, promptly, and with compassion and care. We couldn't ask for anything more.

    "Thank you for your response and offer of an advocate. However, after requesting status of the claim, I was notified by return phone call today that my claim has been approved and that I should be receiving a check in the mail in about 7 days."

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Lite
Required too much paperwork. Had to have my urologist fill out a CF Form. Wrong form was sent to urologist 2 times. Finally got the right form.

Other travel insurance I used in the past, all the forms was done on-line. I uploaded a note from my doctor and allowed them to contact my doctor. I got the check in less than 2 weeks.

With CF I sent in the note from my doctor taped to their form and allowed them to contact my doctor. This was not good enough. They had to have their form filled out by the urologist.

Original claim was filed the day I found out I could not travel (13 June). Final resolution of the claim occurred yesterday 7 August.

Price and coverage was the reason I went with CF. I now know that their is a "hassle factor" involved with the low price.

The claim filing process was arduous and a lot of time was wasted. My husband's crown broke during our tour and we went to a dentist, requiring a detour from our main trip plus dental fees. I didn't notice that the plan only covers natural teeth, not crowns. We called the insurance company to get the claim started. They should have been able to tell us right then that it wasn't a covered incident. Instead we went through several months of filing forms and more forms and more forms to finally get an answer. This was a huge waste of time and shouldn't have happened. Yes, I should have read the policy more carefully, but they could have informed us right away and saved everyone a lot of trouble. The other thing that happened is that the claim kept getting stuck in limbo. I would have to call and ask about it before they told me that another form was needed.

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are sorry that you are dissatisfied with the policy. Unfortunately, it is standard practice for most travel insurance policies to limit dental coverage to cover an accidental injury to a natural, sound tooth.
    Per your certificate:

    "Benefits will include up to 750USD expenses for emergency dental treatment due to Injury to natural teeth."

The plan we purchased had a $300 reimbursement available for delayed bags. We had a prolonged baggage delay and had to pay for a porter to transfer our luggage to our hotel in order to get our bags back. The claim to reimburse that was denied.

However, per the certificate language, baggage delay coverage reads as: “We will reimburse You, less any amount paid or payable from any other valid and collectible insurance or indemnity, up to the amount shown in the Confirmation of Benefits, for the cost of reasonable additional clothing and personal articles purchased by You, if Your Baggage is delayed for 12 hours or more during Your Trip.” The policy unfortunately does not cover the cost of your bags being delivered., but if you did have to purchase any additional clothing or personal items to hold you over, there may be coverage available for those expenses. If you do find that you had additional expenses that were not covered, please call our Customer Care team at (800) 487-4722 to request an Anytime Advocate so we can assist you in disputing your claim.

      In my opinion, my own luggage items, fit within the category of “reasonable personal articles” purchased by me. Our fee for transportation of our luggage/clothing and personal articles was around $80 (well under the $300 limit).

Unfortunately a traveling companion fell ill and could not travel. As a result all 4 of us reluctantly cancelled our trip. Fortunately Travel Insured covered all costs so we did not experience financial loss on top of our missed trip. I will always purchase travel insurance in the future due to this experience and Travel Insured will be my first pick!

I never go on a trip without contacting Insuremytrip.com. Most often, i just insure for medical coverage since my husband and I are in fairly good health and not worried about trip cancellation, etc. After I described my trip insurance needs to an agent, she recommended the C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector plan to cover our medical needs for a trip to Australia and New Zealand in February-March, 2019 that included a 14 day cruise on Holland America. Early into the cruise, we both developed very bad colds and coughs that we couldn't shake. Late in the first week, we both went to the ship's doctor who diagnosed it as a common cold and gave us medicine to help fight it. When i got home, i was still sick and went to see my primary care who prescribed antibiotics and i finally shook the illness in about a month. The fee for the ship's doctor for the 2 of us including some medicine was $250.00. When we got home, we filed a claim with C&F Travel Insured on line. The process was pretty straight-forward. They initiated the claim but required that we file the claim first with our primary insurer, Blue Cross through my employer. We did and since the Holland America Noordam Medical Center was out of network, it approved the claim but required that it go first against my deductible which we hadn't used up yet, Blue Cross did not pay out anything. Once we got the EOB (Explanation of Benefits) back from Blue Cross showing that they approved it but didn't pay out to us, we then filed a copy of the EOB, our claim form and a copy of the invoices from the ship, online via a document scan upload to C&F Travel Insured. In about 2-3 weeks, we got approval from C&F that our claim was approved and received a check for the full amount shortly after. I am extremely happy with the professionalism shown by all parties involved. Yes, it took some a little bit of time, to first file with Blue Cross, then with C&F, but that was as to be expected and completely following the terms of my policy. I would definitely use Insure my Trip and C&F again. I have used Insure my trip at least 4-5 other times and this is my first time ever needing to file a claim and i'm very happy with the experience of everyone involved.
