The only issue I had was setting up the claim. My father in-law passed away. The customer service agent wanted me to file the claim for an illness, which requires doctors to provide information. I thought that was odd for the situation. I spoke to a second customer service representative and they said to just send in the death certificate.

baggage was stolen due to rental car break in. They covered the cost of the car damage and most of the stolen items. The only issue was poor customer care and correspondence at times. I had to call/email to make them follow up and send the same receipts/docs more than once bc they did not read it or lost it in email. However, I was reimbursed for most of the stolen items. It took about a month for the entire process.

I have bought travel insurance for many, many trips and have never made a claim. With this purchase I had to make my first claim. I completed about 5 pages of paperwork including having a page completed by my doctor. I received a complete refund within 2 weeks of sending in the paperwork. No hassles. The claims process was really easy and straight forward. I will definitely be purchasing Travelex insurance again.

Very legitimate. I was convinced by my wife to purchase this plan and it saved my butt while traveling. They were very responsive and easy to get on the phone even at midnight when I had a major trip delay due to United Airlines. Very satisfied with how they handled this. they don't cover reward flights/ tickets purchased with certificates to which I cannot provide receipts. Dissapointed at this. I provided with the reservation and cancellation but they say these type of flights were not covered...that is not stated in the contract anywhere!
