Understandably, it takes a while to get forms submitted and I knew upfront that I wouldn't get my money back right away. They were helpful and understanding and it didn't take too long for the pay out.

Unfortunately, had to cancel a long-awaited hiking trip in the Rockies because of a health issue. Our claim (accompanied by my doctor’s statement) was processed quickly and covered the amounts we would have otherwise lost.

Excellent service and plan. I purchased this policy for a two week long trip. Unfortunately, during the trip, a non-traveling family member passed away and I had to cut the trip short. When I filed a claim, I provided supporting documentation (including death certificate) and was reimbursed for the full amount of the trip that I missed due to returning home early for the funeral services. Very satisfied.

The Travelex claims website required that I file a claim to get copies of the doctor’s form and then had to start all over again once the doctor completed the form. It would been easier initially to go to a page setup up for downloading forms.
With the necessary forms in hand, filing online was fairly easy and the claim was approved within two weeks.

We booked a trip Feb. 12, 2020 and purchased insurance Feb. 14, 2020. Due to the corona virus we canceled the trip. We called Travelex to make a claim.. The Travelex agent told us the corona virus was NOT a covered reason for trip cancellation, so they would not make any payment.

I was pleased with the ability to purchase on-line and how well the process worked when I needed to file a claim. It was easy to contact a real person when I had questions. The customer service was efficient and accurate. The email explaining the analysis and reasons for part of my claim not being covered was easy to understand and thorough. I had an awesome experience with Travelex Insurance. I actually needed to move my trip because my husband was unable to get off for Christmas so the only thing the company needed from him was a letter from his boss saying that he was not giving him Christmas off due to operational needs. I submitted this to them as well as proof of purchase of my trip on my credit card and they refunded me the entire trip. Sent it straight to my paypal account. I used that money to book the trip for thanksgiving instead. The company is easy to deal with and I just purchased travel insurance again for my trip to UAE!

Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Company (“BHSIC”) is the underwriter and claim administrator for the policy you purchased. Travelex Insurance does not make claim determinations; however, we have escalated your concerns to BHSIC, and we have been advised that your claim is in the que to be processed. To clarify your comment on Travel Delay, you are eligible up to the maximum benefit amount, which is per day and per person.
It is important to remember that insurance is highly regulated, and all claims are determined based on the required documentation submitted and the policy details for the policy you purchased.
