This plan gave me peace of mind in case I needed to use it. However, they weren't very good with e-mailing documentation or plan costs. I think the only time I received information about plan cost was over the phone as I was making changes. Also, I could not find a single e-mail with the specific coverages and limits of my plan. I did have a hefty PDF with the general terms and conditions, but nothing outlining my specific coverages.

Customers would only receive policies on the date of purchase or in response to a request to amend your policy.
We did review the correspondence that you received from Travelex and did find that you received their Confirmation of Coverage and policy certificate when you first purchased the policy. The Confirmation of Coverage was a link at the bottom of the email containing your name, coverage and trip details.
This policy did not change until you called us on May 1st to amend the return date and increase your total trip cost. Once this request was processed, Travelex again sent you a revised policy showing the change in premium and including a revised Confirmation of Coverage.
Although you did not see the documents attached to the emails from Travelex, it should be there if you review your correspondence. If you still need our assistance, please give us a call.

We used InsureMyTrip for our Babymoon as I was unsure how my pregnant wife would feel (in her second trimester) when I had initially bought the plane tickets 5 months prior. It is a good alternative to buying a refundable plane ticket, especially if you buy the Cancel For Any Reason option.

I appreciated that they sent me an email right before my trip started so that I had my policy information and knew what to do if I had a problem.
I didn't need to file a claim so I can't comment on that.

Cannot speak to how well they handle claims as we had no need to file one . We chose this company as it allowed us to buy the coverage we needed without having to buy coverage for a lot of items we didn't need (such as coverage that might be needed outside of the US). There were still some items (we are retired so wouldn't need the loss of job coverage) but it would be hard to have a policy designed just for us with out increasing the overall cost due to added manpower needed for such policies.
