my trip was delayed 1 day due to missed connection
i incurred out of pocket expenses and the baggage was let out in the rain causing some damage
the claims process ( total claim only about $300) was so tedious requiring uploading numerous documents that it was not worth my time and effort. Phone support was very vague. I get the distinct impression that travelguard is not really providing any insurance, not sure why i use them, no more!

All claims are fully adjudicated based on the coverage purchased and supporting documentation. Claims are fully reviewed for any coverage opportunities. this plan covered all the requirements for my safe and secure travel. The plan was easy to understand and had very limited exclusions. The medical and evacuation portions of the policy were important for me as I would be traveling in some more remote areas

This is the second time I've used insuremytrip.com and HTL Worldwide, in particular. Thankfully, I did not need to file a claim but I felt secure knowing my travel medical would be covered. I have Medicare and secondary insurance but it would cover little to nothing outside the U.S. The cost of travel medical is minimal. If I bought full travel coverage it would have been more (and still worth it) but I didn't need it on the two trips I've taken so far.
