I booked a trip of August 12, 2019, at it was cancelled on June 23,2019. I still have not heard about the cancellation of my trip. I sent in the information on June 23, 2019, June 28, 2019, and July 17, 2019. It was for the cancellation of my trip at 75% of the costs I have maintained. I still have not heard any thing. I hope anyone who is booking a trip with them should think about someone else.

Although we completed our trip in April, I have waited to complete my review because I had a claim pending. I wanted to see what the results would be. I am happy to report that my claim for reimbursement for one missed day of our trip was compensated for very fairly. My husband and I received checks last week. The reporting process was not easy and took quite a bit of time, and then more information was requested. I would suggest that travelers maintain good files and keep everything in the event of needing to file a claim. I spoke to representatives on the phone who were very helpful and pleasant. I will use insuremytrip.com for all future trips.

We opened a claim but ended up not processing it. Flight and luggage delay were on our way back home which they apparently do not cover unless it’s > 12 hrs. The agents were friendly and the price was OK.

    Thank you for your review. Although we regret that there was no coverage for delayed baggage under your policy, we are pleased to hear that the claims representatives were friendly. Nevertheless as they explained that under your policy, "Baggage Delay...(would reimburse you) If, while on a Trip, your checked baggage is delayed or misdirected by a Common Carrier for more than twelve (12) hours from Your time of arrival at a destination other than Your return destination..."

    Since your baggage was delayed less than 12 hours during your travel to your return destination, there would be no reimbursement under your Baggage Delay coverage.

We are very satisfied with the way our claim was handled. My only complaint is that it was extremely slow. If a new document was requested, it would take 15 business days before action took place. It would be wonderful if you could check the status of your claim online as opposed to making phone calls. Our settlement was extremely fair. Hopefully we'll never have to file another claim!!!

If you read most reviews, they are written by people who didn't file claims. After spraining both knees and ankles, this plan paid a total of $95 for crutches and nothing for small additional taxi and uber costs, since I couldn't walk. The rest of my medical was paid for by New Zealand. When I called their service number, I left a message and didn't get a call back. I finally called their emergency number and was told to go to an ER. They gave me an address, which turned out to be a doctor's office (not open at 5 a.m.). The exclusions in this policy/company are ridiculous: Charge the maximum, pay the very minimum at all costs. I would avoid them like the plague in the future and will share this information as broadly as possible.

Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.

Unfortunately, I had to go to a hospital emergency room because of a lingering illness while traveling in Australia. After returning home, I called I Travel Insured to report the claim and get the claims process started. Their claim process was straightforward and easy, especially because I had all the needed documentation from the hospital and doctor and proof of payment. The claim was paid in less than 4 weeks after submission. In addition, a couple of items that were not paid were clearly explained to me in a letter that I received a week before I received the check. The reasons for denial were fair and seemed to comply with the policy. But the majority of the medical claim was paid with no additional follow up needed. I was and am extremely happy with their service. Through the years, I have had to file two other medical claims with different travel insurers. One was for myself and the other for my husband. By far, I Travel Insured's claims process, communication and prompt payment was heads above the other two companies. I highly recommend using this insurance and have just purchased another insurance policy with them for an upcoming trip.

Our flight was delayed so we missed embarkation for our cruise. We met the ship at the first port of call. We were reimbursed in about 8 weeks from filing our claim. Couldn't be happier that we bought this insurance!
