Generali was very efficient at processing my claim and mailing me a check promptly. I did not use Zelle to process my claim Zelle is a third party that I do not trust with my banking information. Zelle is redundant and useless. I suggest Generali continue to process their own claims and eliminate Zelle.

My wife and I experienced a major disruption to our trip when the air carrier, Iberia, cancelled our outbound flight and was unable to re-book us for 3 days. We filed a claim with Generali and they handled the claim promptly and fairly.

I got very sick on a Transatlantic cruise and had to go to Medical. My health insurance took 5 months to deny my claim. I then sent all the required paperwork to CSA and they processed and paid my claim in a month. I just purchased insurance for our next trip from CSA.

My friend had to see a doctor while on-board ship. When she contacted CSA in this regard, they walked her through what was needed for reimbursement. After complying with needed documents, she received a check in the mail the following week after they received her claim. We are most satisfied with the professionalism and speed of payment.

Not cool when I tried to make a claim due to an emergency before the trip, provided all the documentation requested and after spending a lot of money on this trip, turned around and told me my emergency wasn't covered. The purpose of me getting this insurance was because of the amount of money invested in it and the long period of time we had to wait to travel. No, I won't recommend this company to anybody and I will never use it again. Not worth it!!

Trip Cancellation reimburses 100% of the pre-paid and nonrefundable trip cost if the trip is cancelled due a covered unforeseen event. If the reason for cancelling the trip is not a covered peril or results from an exclusion, the claim will be denied. Please call us at 800-487-4722 and request a Customer Advocate if you feel as if your claim was incorrectly denied. You can also contact CSA Travel Protection to receive further explanation as to why your claim was denied.
The following reply has been issued by CSA Travel Protection:
"We’re sorry to hear that there was an emergency that caused you to change your plans and apologize for not meeting your expectations. It’s important for our customers to choose the correct policy to fit their needs. We have dedicated customer service representatives who can help answer questions and guide you towards the best coverages. If there is something specific that you want to be sure is covered, feel free to ask about it before, during or after you purchase the policy. In this instance, your emergency was not covered. However, we do offer policies in which it would have been. Please contact us at (800) 348-9505 or via email at [email protected] to find out more about our travel protection and emergency services offerings."
Unfortunately we could not make our trip to Spain. We appreciate the way you handle our claim and the short period of time that we got reimbursed for our airline tickets. Thank you
