We have used insuremytrip.com for purchasing trip insurance for years. Fortunately, we have never had to file a claim until now. We had our car broken in to. Our daughter's passport, drivers license, and other travel items were stolen the night before our international trip. There was no time or means to get a replacement passport and only one flight per week to our destination. This was why we bought trip insurance.

WorldTrips had a clever out to avoid paying our claim. Anything that is not in the list of covered items or circumstances was not covered.

I will not be using WorldTrips again.

It's very difficult to rated an insurance plan that I did not need to use, so I really have nothing to review.

We didn’t use the plan so really the questions don’t apply. That being said InsureMyTrip.com was very helpful and professional as always and the policy was certainly priced well, especially as we bought it the day of travel/last minute.

I didn't have to use the insurance so that was good. I'm curious about future trips and whether or not I need to contact you before embarking on them.

    Thank you for your question. You do not have to notify HCC Medical Insurance or InsureMyTrip when departing on another trip since this is a multi-trip plan effective from 1/17/2016 to 01/15/2017. Please note that coverage is limited to a maximum of 30 days per trip.

We were fortunate not to have to file a claim so it is difficult to rate how good the plan and service are. More or less everything on paper was fine; decent coverage at a fair rate.
