We did not need to use the insurance but it was reassuring to have coverage, especially since we are older. In our late 70s and still traveling the world!

When I filed the claim the insurance took too long to respond and when they reached out to me they asked for documents that were not available in the country where I received medical treatment (They asked for credit card statement or copy of check-in a country that trade with cash). They also asked for extensive medical documentation that doctors abroad don't provide unless ordered by a judge or by police. The insurance finally paid the claim with whatever statement I provided (Claim was for $29 medical expenses).

We were extremely disappointed with the plan. Our claim of approximately $33. for loss of medicines was rejected. If a claim for such a small amount is not accepted, how can we expect a substantial claim to be recognized? We will not use your services in the future.

Thank you for your inquiry on your claim. However, claim payments are not based on the size of the claim but on the terms of the policy.
Your previous correspondence indicated that water leaked from a bathroom and seeped into your prescription bottles irreparably damaging your medication while you were in Morocco. However, there would be no reimbursement available in the policy because of the following exclusion:
"Baggage and Personal Effects does not include:
...
12) prescribed medications..."
Please also note that the prescription medications are generally excluded under Baggage and Personal Effects coverage in most Comprehensive plans.

My wife's employer required her to return early for a mandatory training. I changed her return date on her ticket which cost $510. The insurance paid me the maximum change fee of $250 within 2 weeks from submitting the claim. I have contacted customer support to inquire about how to process the claim, and they were very helpful. Because I choose to change the date of the return instead of cancelling the trip, the insurance paid me only the maximum for the change fee, which in my opinion is fair enough since it was clearly stated in the policy at the time of the purchase.
