I had to file a claim with CSA Travel Protection for some non-reimbursed medical expenses that I incurred while traveling. While I thought the application process was more cumbersome than necessary, the claim was fully paid in a reasonable amount of time.

It was a good decision that we bought CSA travel insurance for it changed Celebrity's participation to assist us in finding a Dr or a hospital on the next port we dock. We were supposed to pay Eu220.00 and Eu160.00 for taxi and dr's office visit only and the accompanying expenses on that visit. When Celebrity cruise line found out we have travel insurance, they informed us that the ship will take care of any expenses from then on( informed us that same night).
It became hopeful for us but to reach or contact US was not at all easy, I have to stay at the concierge's counter all afternoon just to reach you because of inaccessibility of signal from ship at sea.
This is a travelers nightmare if we are able to reach you. The Concierge Lady Anca at Solstice was very helpful, patient and ever willing to help us.
With all that has happened during our trip, I must say it's good to have travel insurance every time you travel ESP European countries. All I can say is that for any travel insurance to get more involved in cruise ship
Excursions and provide warnings or awareness on the places the ship's or any online vacation excursion offerings because all they want is sell the traveler the excursion for a fee and no fore-warnings of what it entails to the traveler like Kotor and Pompei specifically. Also CSA was unwilling to alleviate hardship and suffering for my husband and me to travel close to each other since it was too much of a discomfort for my husband and to the person next to him in the Business class section because I was there to check on him always during that long haul flight from Barcelona to Miami. Those people don't need to be subjected to sit next to a handicapped and my husband heard unsavory comment from a lady next to him.
I sure hope this would come to your attention for insured's future planning of trips or any others future travels. Thank you for prompt action on the incident and will check out more details on travel insurance on our next travel, God willing.

When I returned from my trip I contacted CSA about filing a claim. On 6/26/12 they emailed me the forms to fill out. When I called to check the status of the claim, I was advised that I had to file with my primary insurance carrier first. It would have been nice to have been told that up front. By the time I got the claim denied by Medicare and my supplemental carrier AND then re-submitted everything to CSA I finally received payment on 10/6/12. I am convinced that ALL insurance companies compensate their employees based on how long they can avoid paying a claim.

I bought a new expensive piece of luggage for this trip. When I arrived home, one of the wheels was broken off. The airline refused to take responsibility, stating they did not cover wheels. The manufacturer stated if I paid to have the luggage sent to a repair center out of state, and then shipped back to me, they would repair it. I filed a claim with little hope it would be paid, but received a check for the full price of my luggage less than a month later. Way to go! I will be a loyal customer.

My mother became very ill in Spain (acute kidney failure) and had to spend the night in a hospital in Madrid. Her medicare supplement plan only covered 80% of her hospital bill. We filed a claim with CSA for the remainder of the hospital bill (~$1400). We were a little worried since other reviews of CSA Travels claims handling weren't very positive. Those reviews couldn't be more inaccurate. CSA travel processed our claim expeditiously and reimbursed my mother for the remaining hospital expenses. We were very pleased with their service and would highly recommend CSA travel to anyone shopping for travel insurance.

I understood from your website that it was supposed to be a 2 week turnaround to settle. My claim took 2 months to settle after I mailed it in. And there was no contact from your company (CSA Travel Protection) to tell me the claim was received and was being processed. I had to call and find if it had even been received.
