Unfortunately, I had to file a claim for a missed trip due to a medical problem. Generali settled my claim quickly, politely, and fully. I am more than satisfied with both Generali and Insuremytrip.com!

Generali has been incredibly frustrating. I thought I had a very clear case--I had a flight cancelled due to weather and I missed a prepaid first night at an expensive lodge, and I incurred extra travel expenses due to this. First, I've needed a password reset, and sent SIX requests for this and got nowhere. There is simply no way to get help with the website or your account, either online or by phone. For this reason alone I would never use them again. Second, Generali's way of doing business is to email me once every three weeks to ask for some new document--for instance, I had to provide a letter from the airline stating WHY the flight was cancelled (I'd already provided the one saying it WAS cancelled). Then I don't hear from them for 3 weeks. Then they want something else that seems redundant. Or, they tell me they didn't get the last email I sent despite the fact I always can provide the auto reply confirmation email. The latest email they sent me seems meant for someone else--they told me they didn't hear from my "agent" (I didn't use an agent!) and are closing my claim. They are very much looking for a way to not cover my straightforward claim.

One of the people on our trip needed to leave early because of a death in the family. We submitted a claim and once we emailed the documents needed, a check was issued. Everything went very smoothly and the claim process was easy. I would highly recommend this policy.

We purchased the insurance to be sure we were covered for health concerns since our personal health coverage no longer covered overseas travel. The fortunate part about our plan was it covered our unexpected trip interruption and reimbursed us promptly for the non-refundable hotel costs we had paid for at our final destination.

My cruise was cancelled due to bankruptcy and this pathetic insurance policy was worth nothing to us. They refused to cover any airfare or accommodation loses what so ever, because they we not considered a covered event! Give me a break!

We had to cancel our trip due to my spouse's sudden health issue. I submitted the proper materials to CSA.. Within severaolhours of my sending in the materials by fax, I received an email that my claim had been processed and that we would receive 100% of the requested reimbursement within 7 - 10 days. We received the check in one week. The follow-through and service was excellent. I highly recommend the CSA Company to you!

I got stuck on the way home from Costa Rica. With 1 quick phone call, I knew I was covered. It was a great piece of mind, when expenses from that delay were racking up. Claim was processed fairly quick, and when the check came in it was like free money at that point as I had already adjusted for the money I spent on delay. Everything worked just as it was supposed to.
