I called to file a claim and it was denied. I was told I did not 'purchase' coverage for the claim I was making. Also, I was not advised or asked to purchase coverage in case of the circumstance that I was filing a claim!!!

I had to cancel the trip due to the death of my companion.
The claim was handled quickly and I was updated on the progress.
I will use C&F again.

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with this plan. One great piece of the coverage that may go unnoticed is that they cover up to $250 in airline ticket change fees when incurred FOR ANY REASON--not just when initiated by the airline or under certain conditions. I had a $200 change penalty reimbursed under this plan when I had to change a ticket on Delta to an earlier flight because my original itinerary didn't fit with the schedule for my group, and it was no problem at all. (Note, though, that this only applies to the change penalty, not the difference in ticket price, and it's only covered once per trip.)

We had to cancel this trip for medical reasons. Travel Insured was pleasant, helpful and promptly processed our claim with a full reimbursement, keeping us informed along the way. We couldn't have asked for better service.

I had purchased travel insurance through Travel Insured before, but never had to file a claim. I did not know what to expect if I had to file one. This time, our trip was cancelled because of a medical emergency, and I filed a claim. The documentation required for the claim was reasonable and not burdensome; and the claim was handled promptly. I am impressed.

I've used this plan before and thankfully never had to use it up until now. Unfortunately we had to cancel a great family vacation because of an injury to one member of the group. The forms required for payments lost were reasonable and the claim was promptly handled.
