We had a flight delay (over 4 hours departing LAX) on the first flight leg of our vacation that caused us to miss a connection in Amsterdam and the first day of our trip in Africa. I notified AIG and they assured me that my plan would cover baggage delays and first day expenses. I filed an expense claim for the baggage delay and for the hotel expense on return from our vacation. The on-line claim process was straightforward. I received updates as the claims were processed. Both were accepted without need for further communication.
I'm very satisfied with the AIG Travel plan and will use it for future trips.
