I filled a claim via your website on Aug 23, 2024. I tried to get a staus via your 800# and the response was that there was no claim . I resent my claim Sept 11th. Both times I emailed, I received an automated response. No check yet. 800# still says no claim.

I filed a claim for trip interruption, because I contracted Covid during my trip, and had to leave my tour. Generali denied my claim, because I wasn't sick enough to require treatment by a physician or medical facility (they require documentation of such). So I had a trip interruption, but Generali's policy is written in such a way as to deny my claim. Read the entire policy that you are purchasing, and make sure you follow it to the letter, or you will not be properly compensated by Generali.

My experience with filing my claim was far from satisfactory. The customer service was impossible to reach and when they were reached, very poor service. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy!
In the future I will consider that a reasonable price is no guarantee of hood service.

I got ill with covid and had to cancel my trip. As I was very tired, filling out the paper work took me two days, but it paid off. Generali emailed me almost immediately that they are processing the claim and soon thereafter told me they would send the check. I received it yesterday.

Fortunately, I had no major problems on the trip. Inadvertently, I lost a cane with folding seat and a donut cushion the first day away. On return home, eight days later, I wrote Generali that I had registered the cane loss with the airport police. When I left Dublin, I checked with them again, nothing turned in.
I gave Generali the prices from Amazon and they sent me a check. If they handle missed flights and illness that way, they are excellent.

This is the second time I have submitted a claim to Generali Assistance. In both cases the claim was handled promptly and I received a check for the submitted amount within 2 weeks.
I wouldn't use anyone else.

Bought the plan for wife and self months ahead of trip.
Our plane connect in Pittsburgh was delayed in disembarking at the gate because the gates were all full due to inclement weather. My claim clearly explained this but Generali denied it because they called it a "gate delay" and not a weather delay. We were clearly delayed and told by the airline the delay was due to inclement weather.
This was an egregious denial to call a major rainstorm delay a gate delay!!!
The claim was finally paid but only after a denial or two and a several more back and forth emails with InsureMyTrip.
