During my trip, my passport was stolen on my way to the airport for my departing flight. As a result, I had to incur costs for another hotel overnight stay, as well as trips to the Police Station to report the theft and costs for an emergency travel card and a replacement passport. Filing my claim was simple and straightforward. It is important to retain all original receipts for claimed expenses as these must be submitted along with the claim form and the police report. Customer service agents were extremely efficient and assured a response within 15 business days following receipt of the claim with all supporting documentation. I was very happy to receive a reimbursement check for $315 which covered all my submitted expenses. This was the first time I ever submitted a travel claim and I was very pleased with the process and the outcome. I highly recommend Travelex Travel Select Plan and will purchase this insurance again for future trips.

While on a family trip to Ireland, one of our kids developed a tooth infection. We called our insurance provider (travelex) to see how we should proceed. Over the course of the next week, while our son saw doctors and even went to a hospital, Travelex called us almost DAILY to check in with us and see if we need anything or needed to fly home early. We did not end up leaving early, but I was so impressed by the care they showed and how easy it was to reach them, I have purchased insurance with them again for our families next 2 trips abroad. When my trip was forced to be cut short due to the death of my father-in-law, we incurred non refundable hotel costs and airfare change fees. When I contacted Travelex, I was sent a 10 page form to be filled out, including one page which required the patient's doctor who I did not know nor had ever been in contact with. The doctor filled out the form as if it was for my father-in-law making the claim, not me because it was so confusing. Never did file the claim as my charge card covered the issue with no hassle at all. Makes me mad that I ever bought travel insurance since it appeared the insurance company was trying to make it impossible to prove that there was a covered incident.

In past years, the airline could not get us to Ireland due to inclement weather. No problem getting our lodging costs reimbursed. This year, accident In Ireland and the travel insurance covered all expenses. Very happy with Travelex. Good customer service. Thank you very much.

I made a claim via e-mail while in Italy for luggage delay of 2 days. Pretty quick response by e-mail and followup after I returned home. Quick and fair settlement of the few charges ($51) that we incurred for essentials while awaiting our luggage.
