UPDATE: Shortly after I wrote this review, my claim was swiftly processed - no questions asked. On one hand, I appreciate that they didn't make me jump through a lot of additional hoops (though I did sent A LOT of documentation with the claim); on the other, it took three months with little communication and a bad review to get things moving. I think I would give this plan another try now that I know they can be helpful with a claim; however, I hope they can figure out a way to improve their turnaround time.
FIRST REVIEW:
I've purchased many trip insurance plans throughout the years, and for the first time this December, I had a missed connection. I was glad to have trip insurance, and when I returned, I filed a claim. I submitted all materials soon after returning from our trip. I got an automated response saying that they were very busy but they would get back to me when I was next in line. I then got emails about two weeks and four weeks later saying the same thing. The last I heard from them was over a month ago.
There has been zero updates on my claim's progress. I chose this option because of its great reviews, but it looks like when you actually need to file a claim, they are not helpful. It's now been almost 3 months since I had to pay out-of-pocket for my missed connection, so I'm out that money as well as the money I paid for the policy. Very unhappy with this experience and policy.
