My husband dued in a small hospital in a jungle town in Peru. Since it was not "in network" and a very unsophisticated place, i ended up paying for everything in cash, including treatment, diagnostic, medication and documents. I contacted you before he died. You were utterly useless.
I am still in Peru trying to get the body out and home . He died on friday, this is tuesday and it is a byzantine system that is endless bureaucracy and forms, i have no interest intalking to your representative until i and the remains are safely home.
This is an addendum to earlier review. HTH eventually paid for the three hours my husband spent in s hospital emergency room . But know this: Do not die of natural causes. Your death benefit of $50,000 does not apply. It is a massive loophole in the policy.

As the traveler indicated, the 50,000 USD death benefit is for 24 Hour Accidental Death only. Travel Insurance plans do not offer life insurance benefits for sickness or illness.
Before my trip, HTH would not provide me with a printer-friendly ID card. Insuremytrip.com did.
My international flight was cancelled and delayed my arrival by 29 hours. Although I changed my rental car pickup time, my final leg (CDG-VCE) was also delayed and Europecar had not held my reservation an additional 4 hours. ALternative transportation and my new rental car ended up costing $200 more than originally booked. HTH (their agent, actually) denied my claim as not being a "reasonable" additional expense.
My claim required 5 phone calls, one large mailed packet, 3 additional forwarded documents because they could not verify my Delta flight ( SLC-CDG) had been cancelled, and more than two weeks.
My claim was denied. Insuremytrip.com assigned me an advocate and I requested an appeal to HTH.
The denial was reversed and I have been told to expect a check for $175.13.

Great. Simple to sign up. I ended up needing to see a doctor and get lab work in Australia. I called the company and they were great, willing to find me a doctor, but I asked if I could go to my daughter's doctor. They said sure! I turned in receipts upon my return and was reimbursed. Good company!

I was in England when my luggage was delayed for 4 days. I was able to get hold of someone at Travelex right away who helped with the tracking of my luggage and also instructed me to purchase the items that I needed. When I got back home, I filled out a claim form, mailed in my receipts and had a check within two weeks.

We always purchase travelers insurance but never had to use it until now. HTH Worldwide employees were professional, kind and did a great job in letting me know what information they needed to process our claim. Joseph was especially helpful and even was able to help with retrieving needed information. Our trip was booked on line for air and apartments in Italy, so it was a little more difficult but after a little work, we did get what was needed. HTH reimbursed us for all of our expenses. I will definitely use them again.

SCAM ALERT! Warning! Do Not Use This Company! Their $250 per day "Travel Delay" coverage does not include emergency accommodation, transport to emergency accommodation, meals, etc. To be fair to HTH, this is not mentioned in their "fine print", so it's misleading, like stating one has rental car coverage, but the "fine print" states that it only covers red cars rented on Fridays! Their "Travel Delay" coverage is fake and is designed to mislead people into buying their policies. They shouldn't be allowed to call their coverage "Travel Delay". This company gives the industry a bad name.
DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

I bought the plan for the travel medical insurance, but it also came with trip insurance, which I thought I'd never use. Our flight was delayed and we missed our international connection flight and had to forfeit one night of payment at our international hotel and pay an increase in the air fare price for a flight the next day. I made a claim for about $1,000, and I was refunded $500, which they said was their maximum payment.

We have had a very unlucky year as we had to cancel two trips and interrupt another after only a few days during the past twelve months. We had an HTH Worldwide Trip Protector plan for each one, and our claims for cancellation and trip interruption were handled very professionally and expeditiously in each case. We had someone we could contact during the claims process, and when we did contact them they were both very helpful and courteous. They also kept us informed. I certainly do recommend them.
