This was the first time I've used April Travel Protection and we had to file a claim and change the entire trip 8 days prior to departure due to continued terriost attacks in London. It took a few emails and forwarding of numerous documents but within 60 days the claim was processed and I was sent a check for the purchase of my original trip as well as the cancellation charges. I highly recommend April Travel Protection.

We unfortunately encountered issues with our flight that resulted in us being delayed overnight which resulted in additional hotel and other charges. April paid our claim per the terms of our policy, though we felt the assistance we received when we called for guidance and the claim processing time could both be improved.

My delayed luggage claim was processed in just over 30 business days as advertised, and I received a check a few days later. The amount was fair and very close to what I expected, allowing for a minor variation in the exchange rate. I provided all the required documentation with my claim form and was not asked for any additional paperwork. The only suggestion I would offer to April is that they acknowledge receiving the claim; however, when I asked via e-mail, I received a prompt and courteous confirmation. I would use April again.

Had a minor medical incident in Ireland and had to file a claim. Quick and easy. Accomplished with a phone call and filling out a simple form. Received full payment yesterday. Would definitely use this company again!

I chose the 'cancel for any reason' option, and when I contacted a representative by phone, I was told my claim was valid, and would be paid. Once I was assigned a (different) representative for email contact, she told me my claim was not covered. I persisted and asked to have a claim form sent to me so I could file. In the end, it was, in fact, covered. If I had not been persistent, I would have lost hundreds of dollars.

my trip was unexpectedly interrupted by my wife's altitude illness at 12,000 feet. April Insurance reimbursed me for my portion of the group trip costs as well as lodging costs after the interruption. However, I was unable to speak to anyone at April and they only responded via email. This lack of personal contact was disappointing. It took about 7 weeks from submission of the claim to receive our reimbursement.

I ran into an issue where a severe train delay caused us to miss our flight. This should be covered according to the plan. Of course, April insurance underwriters are trying to pay me a fraction of the cost, and they're using nuances to getting out of paying.

Dear Insure My Trip, is there any insurance company that is straight forward? I'm tired of buying travel insurance and finding out that it doesn't cover anything...I'd pay more just to be treated fairly

GoReady Insurance Choice
The April Travel Protection Choice plan we used did provide the comprehensive coverage we sought. The only problem was with filing the claim. The insurance company provided little support in this effort and basically placed all the obligation for documentation upon us. And it took over three months for them to process and pay our claim. Other than that I am generally pleased with the plan.
