Travel Insurance Reviews for Generali Global Assistance

Didn’t need to file this time but have filed for trip interruption and generali pays quickly with reasonable info requirements— thanks guys!

It is difficult to review the insurance because it did not have to get used. Sure, it was easy enough to buy and "seemed" to have most of what I was looking for but the true test would have come if I had to use it? How much red tape and resistance would I have encountered? Would there have been "fine print" exceptions that negated support that I assumed I had? How long would I have had to wait for financial reimbursement? Not being able to answer those questions leaves it very difficult to thoroughly and accurately assess the policy I purchased.

We felt safely covered while on our trip to Europe. I only wish a stolen or lost cell phone was covered on our plan as this was our only incident. The cost of the plan for two seemed reasonable. I would use Generali again.

I had no need to file a claim, however I did lose my phone in Barcelona on second day and was unable to contact Verizon because they required 2 step verification. They wanted to send number to my LOST PHONE. There was no option, to way to get to a human. Got home, got new phone and had to pay. I made a police report in Barcelona, but I don't think this travel insurance covers ky deductible for replacement phone. I am glad to have insurance and not need it for other part of the trip.

Although no claim was necessary, I feel the coverage was a great value, especially compared to the offerings provided by my travel provider.

Thank goodness we did not need to make a claim but the peace of mind was priceless.

You know the trip was completed in total with no need to file a claim. However it was good to have comprehensive coverage.
