Thank you for your feedback on the policy. The emergency medical coverage on your plan does appear to be primary. However, depending upon which state the traveler resides in, the silver plan may be secondary. When a plan benefit is primary, the provider will pay you first in the event of a claim. When a plan benefit is secondary, the provider will pay you after any other collectable benefits.Nov 20,2014

I always buy for foreign travel as I have no health coverage out of the country, but have never made a claim. Also the car rental company was very emphatic that they would not accept this coverage for the rental in any way.

Thank you for your feedback on the policy. Unfortunately, not all rental car companies accept third party collision damage waiver. If rental car coverage is a primary concern for travelers, we advise them to contact the rental company first to see if they accept third party insurance.Aug 19,2014

This plan stood far and above the rest, as it had no exclusion for pre-existing conditions. For anyone who has a pre-existing condition, such as an allergy, this should be a major consideration. I felt confident heading out of the country with this policy, and will recommend it to friends and family members. Finally, the customers who reviewed and who did use the plan had very positive things to say, which made me even more confident.

Called to mention a bag was lost on the way home, but Cayman Airways put it on a later flight to DFW via United Air. Sadly, the two airlines didn't have a well defined agreement for handling local delivery from DFW to my home in Richardson. After numerous phone calls, a responsive Customer Service rep said the best way for me to get it promptly was for her to personally take it from DFW and meet me half way to my home. We did this but my return journey in my car took a little over an hour and the case was in my car some 27 hours after we landed at DFW. At least my wife was happy that nothing was lost except my time.

Of course everyone who purchases travel insurance hopes they don't actually need to use it, which fortunately was my case. However, knowing that you have travel insurance makes it easier to relax throughout the trip. I did a lot of comparison shopping before choosing a company for my travel insurance. I also made sure that I was paying for the plan components most important to me and little else. (Medical evacuation coverage was my number one priority). Seven Corners offered what I wanted most at a reasonable price, compared to other insurance companies.
