We have used 'InsureMyTrip' for many years for our cruise travel insurance company and have been pleased. This year we had to cancel a cruise and filing a claim, "Trip Cancellation Claim ID 6336742", was a horrible experence! I only asked for a mere $596 refund! Trip Mate was handling the claim here in Kansas City, MO and I sent the necessary paperwork at the end of May. Time dragged on and on, and finally they indicated they transferred my claim to another 'agency' and lost all my documentation. I had to re-send paperwork two more times, talk to a respresentative several times, and it took until August to actually receive the insurance claim money! This whole insurance processing department appeared inexperienced and and inadpt at processing a claim. It is doubtful we will use your insurance company again!

We do want you and your fellow customers to be aware that InsureMyTrip offers a Customer Advocate Program. Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.
The plan offered the coverages needed at a reasonable price. I did need to file a claim. The claim was paid fairly but the claim process was fairly slow. It took about a month to get the claim processed.
