I had to cancel due to my father contracting a severe illness. The staff was courteous and helpful. They required much paperwork -- confirmations of cancellations, etc. (as all insurance carriers do.) However, they patiently helped me through the process to get everything I needed and everything was covered.

The plan has too many caveats and exclusions. We have used this firm for previous trips and vacations. Unfortunately the contract is written to exclude missed scheduled tours when the time to be cleared through customs and immigrations into UAE is longer than they consider acceptable. The air carrier landed on time. It was 45 minutes before economy passengers were deplaned. Luggage claim and immigrations required 2 hours. The contract excludes any missed tours unless the air carrier is 3 hours late.

We purchased the plan which included the "cancel for any reason" option. Due to an unexpected issue, we had to cancel our cruise. Our refund was handled promptly after filing our claim. We would not hesitate to purchase this travel plan for our future needs.

Buying was easy and the policy comparison excellent. The claim process was simple and lacked red tape. Claim review was prompt and efficient, and final payment was fair and fast. What more can you ask from an insurance company? Simply outstanding!!

We had our first claim this year because of Hurricane Sandy. We were delayed in leaving and lost just 1 day of our prepaid trip. I talked to representatives before we left. I must have called a couple times a day just because I was nervous and talking to them about my policy and trip eased my mind. Upon returning I gathered all of my information and filed my claim. It was handled as promptly as could be expected. It took about 6 weeks for the entire process but considering there was a hurricane and I am sure the claims were coming in left and right I am pleased with the outcome.

Buying this insurance was the best decision I made for our trip. When I called your 24-hour number from the Philippines saying that my husband fell ill and waiting for an ambulance, I was assured with compassion and understanding that you will bring us home as quickly as possible, words any traveler want to hear in times of unspeakable stress. The paperwork was faxed, emailed to the hospital and by the time we were discharged eight days later, the guarantee of payment was received and approved. We came out of that hospital with a relieved sigh despite the pouring rains that never let up until our schedule to fly two days after. You even provided us with a nurse escort (I thought was not needed but changed my mind soon as we lifted off). She gave me the respite I needed and the confidence that yes, we will be home soon. The first class accommodations helped ease the strain. I will sing your praises for as long as there is FB and e-mails. Our gratitude is without end.

Like many others, we always purchase travel insurance with the expectation that we won't need to use it, but on this year's trip, we did.Apart from a few issues reaching TravelSafe/TravelMate from France (operator would not allow us to call the 603 number collect) we were very pleased with the claims process. Everyone we worked with was friendly, sympathetic, professional and competent. We were also impressed that our claim was resolved so quickly. The positive claims experience helped to erase a potentially-disastrous ending to our wonderful Paris trip---thanks again ! jen

Absolutely recommend. We had great service and punctuality, although they were more concerned with getting me home than getting me to a better hospital.

I have bought this same package a few years in a row for our trip to Mexico. Last year our flight home was cancelled do to weather and we had to stay an additional day. When we returned I submitted a claim for round-trip transportation back to where we had been staying, an additional night of hotel accommodations, and three meals for two people. My claim was paid promptly with no further questions asked. I am very happy with this policy and will continue to purchase it.

My main reason was for the medical since I don't have regular insurance. During my trip I was hospitalized for 2 days. TravelSafe sent me the complete amount in around 2 weeks after filing the claim. Just make sure you have all of your receipts.
