I bought a ticket on an airline that cancelled my flight and refunded the cost. However, that meant I was unable to use a second connection on a different airline to get to my final destination. I was told that cost would not be covered by the trip insurance. I was also told that the airline would not cover an earlier return to protect ourselves due to Corona 19. Once again
It is impossible to foresee every eventuality and trip insurance actually covers very little.

You should all know the story by now -- I had to cancel for work reasons and you would not cover my airfare costs. You denied my claim and denied my request for partial reimbursement. I would never use you again.

The TravelSafe Classic policy automatically includes the Cancel For Work Reasons rider which provides Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption coverage in the event your approved time off is revoked from your employer.
"You, Your Traveling Companion or a Family Member traveling with You is required to work during Your Trip. A written statement by an unrelated company official and/or the human resources department demonstrating revocation of previously approved time off will be required. You, Your Traveling Companion or Family Member cannot be a company owner or partner;"

It took 2 months to get a check from "Travelsafe", even with a simple and very well documented medical issue on the ship. Initial claim reporting was very awkward, they wanted heavy documentation and lots of forms, and there were no verbal follow ups on the delay. When I initiated calls, the reps were extremely aloof, and had no urgency or concern. This company fooled me once, but I will feel "Safer" NEVER using these bozos again.
Word of advice, spend time looking at reviews where claims were made. That tells you the value of what you are really buying.
Insuremytrip really helped me out. They get a five star rating!
