Extremely expensive comparing premium to possible coverage. If regular insurance charged comparable amounts, no one could afford it. But unfortunately it is necessary for travel coverage. In short, premiums are relatively high compared with conventional non-travel insurance.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
I have health insurance for travel abroad but this was a hiking trip through the mountains of southern New Zealand. I wanted additional insurance coverage in the event of a accident. This policy provided that coverage at a reasonable cost for a 5 week trip. Fortunately I didn't need the policy but was glad to have it. It was particularly easy to set up and design the type of coverage I wanted.
