TravelGap Excursion
This is the second time I've used insuremytrip.com and HTL Worldwide, in particular. Thankfully, I did not need to file a claim but I felt secure knowing my travel medical would be covered. I have Medicare and secondary insurance but it would cover little to nothing outside the U.S. The cost of travel medical is minimal. If I bought full travel coverage it would have been more (and still worth it) but I didn't need it on the two trips I've taken so far.

I can only vouch for benefits provided under this plan. The real test is when you are in a position of having to use the coverage. I am an R.N., so I understand benefits, coverage, limits, etc.
I did not use the coverage, but had the security of knowing it was available if needed.
If one DOES need to use the coverage, then the company’s response, timing and responsibility would be something of value. I have done enough insurance coverage claims in medical offices to know that some companies are very good with customer service, others are not. You will not know until you have to use it whether the company is valuable/reliable.

We had to cancel our trip do to unrest in France so I can't speak to the claims process. The process for getting a refund was excellent!!!! The people I spoke with were extremely helpful and the process was very efficient and I had my refund within days. The real question is, how an insurance company will handle a claim if you get sick in another country. I can't answer that, but based on my experience with GeoBlue, I have real continence in the company and I will definitely use GeoBlue again when I travel overseas again.
