Found coverage here i wanted. I always insure my out of the country trips. Mostly for the medical and evac portion. Fortunately, I have never had to file a claim. So I can't speak to service in that area.

I am the type never to buy travel insurance. However, as this trip was more on the expensive side, i decided to insure it as i had elderly in laws coming along. I went with Nationwide as they are a big reputable insurance company and covered what i would need.
I am so glad i did buy insurance as one of my in laws suffered a stroke prior to the trip and had to make a claim. I tried calling and did get a hold of a representative who told me to file my claim online or mailing it in. I did my claim via the online portal. Uploaded what documents they needed and claimed was processed. Be forewarned though is communication is extremely scant. All you will receive is acknowledgement that your claim was received. A few weeks later i got checks for the amount i was claiming. Overall, satisfied but communication is extremely lacking. Document everything!!!

The plan is affordable while we travel overseas. However, we don't have claim experience, so still don't know it is a good plan or not. Hope we never need to claim anything that would be good for us and for the business.

Nationwide is not on your side. I booked multiple trips and purchased multiple insurance plans with Nationwide. They failed every time. They acted poorly right out of the gate - starting with not returning calls to not paying a very small claim. I worked hard to minimize any losses even though I had insurance (or so I thought). My insurance cost $218 and my claim was a mere $283. I even emailed the CEO and never heard back. Apparently their poor way of treating people starts at the top. I was shocked at how devious and cheap they were. I have used other companies that charged more but settled claims quickly, fairly and honestly. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. I do like InsureMyTrip - they did try to act on my behalf.
