I realized why it is rated so high. If you read the reviews, most of the people did not have to use the coverage. I would not recommend this insurance and will not ever use it again. Please look elsewhere and save yourself time and stress. I researched and choose this company because it is rated high (by those who don't file a claim). If you look at those who do file a claim, it is not rated well at all. My camera damage situation did not fit into the boxes they wanted it to so the forms and processes did not work with my situation. Because I did not report the damage to my camera to anyone (since it wasn't the airline, hotel or trip operator's fault) they will not pay my claim or honor the insurance I purchased even though my camera is no longer usable and it occurred during my "covered" trip. I filled out all the paperwork, provided pictures and offered additional information but now they have gone silent. I returned from my trip in early November, it is now January. I am going in another direction to get my camera taken care of. The customer service, if you can call it that, is hard to access and lots of time waiting on the phone. I have other companies that I have used in the past that I will go back to. I do not recommend this insurance coverage.

Filed claims for delayed baggage, missed connections and a medical expense. It took over two months, multiple emails and phone calls to get my claims processed. The time between emailing information, the company reviewing it and responding was around 3 weeks. Since additional information was required after my initial submission the process was delayed further. This company required more details (i.e. copies of credit card statements in addition to receipts to substantiate cots incurred) than either the airlines or travel insurance companies I've worked with iin the past. They did finally pay for all the costs I incurred that were covered.
I would not use this company again.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
A year ago I had to cancel the trip we insured because one of my parents fell severely ill at the last minute and died ten days after we would have departed on vacation. With proper documentation I had no trouble submitting a claim and being reimbursed for the lost costs. We were able to reschedule the trip a year later and did not hesitate to insure this trip through the same service this time around.

Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.

Due to a medical emergency the day I was to leave, I was unable to make my trip. I contacted Travel Insured International right away to learn what information they needed for me to be reimbursed for my trip cost. I sent in all the information and waited ... and waited ... and waited. I got no reply that they had even received my documentation. I called them and was told they had received it, but that it would take up to 15 business days to be processed. I had already been most of that. I called back in a few days and was told they were waiting on information from the agency I purchased my trip from. I contacted the agency, and they had NOT received any request for information. Another call back to C & F TII and I told them the agency had not received a request. A few days later, the agency contacted me that they had received a request with a plan number, but no name was attached to the request and they had to ask me if that was my claim. They promptly sent the information to C & F TII and copied me on it. I contacted C & F TII again to see if the information had reached my file. I was told it had not and that it might take 5 - 10 business days for it to do so. I started calling back every other day to check on my claim. I guess they finally got irritated with me and just processed my claim and sent me the money. It is ashamed that I had to do all the follow-up to make this happen. My airline miles were credited back to me with just a phone call (10 minutes). Royal Caribbean credited back three excursions that I paid for in advance, but did not take (because I didn't make the trip) within 3 days. Another small policy I had through American Airlines with Global Alianz responded within 2 days and made a payment immediately. I was very unhappy with the service I received from C and F Travel Insured.

Our cruise was impacted by hurricane Dorian, like many others I'm sure. Not only was filing a claim easy, it was handled in a timely fashion considering it was a hurricane event and they paid very well. I am impressed with this company and am using them for our next cruise. The premium is VERY reasonable considering the coverage and the peace of mind. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip to Greece due to an injury to one of the other couple we were going with. We filed out claim with C&F and received the full amount of our trip. We will use C&F again and would definitely recommend C&F to family and friends.

Processing my claim took some time (it sat in the mailroom for several days) and it was difficult to get an update on the status. My emails usually took 2 days to be answered and the response was sketchy on detailed information. Overall I was very pleased since my claim was approved as filed and I did not have to submit additional information.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Plus
I filed a claim for cancellation due to Hurricane Dorian. My return flights were cancelled due to the storm so we cancelled our outbound flight and tours as we could not get home. I filed this claim on 9/3/19, I received a reply on 11/4/19 telling me the claim was denied. Fort Lauderdale airport was not in a hurricane warning state at the time of my outbound flight so there is no coverage. So apparently I was supposed to fly into a hurricane area and get stuck there (as my return flights were cancelled) in order to have my outbound flight covered? Ridiculous! Better yet, I purchased cancel for any reason coverage on this plan, surely that covers the cancellation, right? No. Because I cancelled the flight less than 72 hours in advance cancel for any reason is not applicable. So its really only "any reason more or than 72 hours out", they need to rename it! DO NOT BUY THIS INSURANCE they will surely find some loophole to deny your claim. I cancelled a trip to Cuba via Fort Lauderdale due to an impending hurricane and even with cancel for any reason they found one to deny mine! CAVEAT EMPTOR - BUYER BEWARE
