They will pay after Medicare and own secondary insurance does. So I assuming they will pay if there is anything to be paid. They did phone me the next day to make sure I was ok, and explain the process

I had to cancel this cruise due to medical reasons with my wife and they were easy to work with and reimbursed us our claimed amount without any problem. Cancellation costs were over $8,000 dollars and they gladly paid us promptly/ I'm so glad we had the AXA insurance.

I purchased an AXA Assistance USA Gold Plan for a 2 week trip to New Zealand for myself and my husband. Unfortunately we had to cancel about 6 weeks before the trip due to a medical problem. I was worried that AXA would make me jump through hoops to get our refund for trip expenses but that was definitely not the case. The AXA claims specialists were professional and helpful. I submitted the paperwork that was necessary and got notification of acceptance for the claim and a check very quickly. I will use AXA in the future.

When I needed to see a doctor in Vietnam AXA Assistance USA was very responsive with referrals and information about filing claim. Paid all expenses in reasonable time frame.

We purchased travel insurance for our holiday cruise as a precaution because my grandfather fell ill and was in the hospital. I've never purchased insurance before, but thank goodness we did! My grandfather was fine, but days before we were suppose to leave, my husband started passing 1 of 3 giant kidney stones, making him unable to travel from the debilitating pain and possible need for surgery. All of the forms were very easy to fill out and the AXA team was very helpful. The people traveling with us also cancelled their trip, but they had a different insurance provider and plan and didn't get their flights refunded. I will never book a trip without AXA travel insurance again. So worth it!

Had a number of previous policies for previous trips and never had a claim. Claim in excess of $40,000 was paid promptly after requested information was sent in with no additional questions. The process was surprisingly hassle free. A great company!

Trip was cancelled by the cruise operator. I was refunded everything but $300 of the airfare (ticket cost less credit for a future flight). AXA took care of the $300 quickly and with no hassle.

AXA did a prompt job of reimbursing my claim--once they got the paperwork by email. It took several weeks of phone calls to people whose first language was not English before I finally obtained correct information for filing. Within days, my claim was then processed. Should you file a claim, do not use US Mail to Miami; instead, file electronically and speak to a Claim Agent in Chicago, not Miami, to eliminate the language barriers.
