Our trip was delayed due to weather, we missed our connection, stayed overnight at a hotel and missed a day of our prepaid travel package. We filed a claim with all required receipts and got full reimbursement. Really glad that we had the insurance!

We were covered for a cruise with a 2 hour flight from our hometown to/from the cruiseport. We were to fly in the morning of the cruise. The day before we were to leave, our flight was cancelled for the next morning due to predicted uber cold weather. The airline put us on a flight that evening, so we were forced to stay in a hotel near the cruiseport. The insurance covered the cost of the hotel. The thing I'd like to point out is that I'd purchased the insurance for the original date. The insurance company was able to think outside the box and cover our hotel, even though the date wasn't within the original time frame of the trip. Kudos to them! The claim took about a week to process once the company had my documentation. Refund is by check.

The only issue I had was setting up the claim. My father in-law passed away. The customer service agent wanted me to file the claim for an illness, which requires doctors to provide information. I thought that was odd for the situation. I spoke to a second customer service representative and they said to just send in the death certificate.

This is the first time I have had to use my insurance, so I was a little worried if I had the right documents and if the claim would be accepted. My flight was cancelled and rescheduled. I submitted a hotel receipt for the night and it was approved in less than 2 weeks. I am very pleased with the process. Travelex/Berkshire Hathaway had a form to fill out, along with my receipts, and all could be submitted by email. I contacted customer service to begin the claim and spoke with a knowledgeable rep.

I was very happy with Travelex travel basic plan. Once I submitted my documents, I received a check for the total amount allowed. My phone was lost on an international flight and I immediately called Travelex and my agent, Candace, worked on my case. My claim was approved and I was sent me a check within 3 weeks. Great service! I will use them again.

My family and I traveled to Israel for the holiday. My son, a year and six month old came down with a severe fever and would not stop vomiting. We rushed him to the emergency room, the doctors examined and treated him and he quickly recovered. I filled a claim with Travelex and I received a check within two weeks.
