We purchased the AXA Silver plan for a cruise we took last winter. There was a flu like illness going around the ship that both my husband & I caught, and we were treated by the physician onboard our ship. AXA covered the entire expense of our medical treatment, but it took several months of emails & snail mails back & forth, sending more documentation about the claim & the cruise, before we finally got reimbursed. They will pay your claim, but they're not a huge hurry to do it.

We purchased travel insurance for our holiday cruise as a precaution because my grandfather fell ill and was in the hospital. I've never purchased insurance before, but thank goodness we did! My grandfather was fine, but days before we were suppose to leave, my husband started passing 1 of 3 giant kidney stones, making him unable to travel from the debilitating pain and possible need for surgery. All of the forms were very easy to fill out and the AXA team was very helpful. The people traveling with us also cancelled their trip, but they had a different insurance provider and plan and didn't get their flights refunded. I will never book a trip without AXA travel insurance again. So worth it!

Unfortunately, we had to file a claim. The staff was great! Their responses were prompt and complete, including forms needed. The action on the claim was very prompt. The settlement was what we would have hoped for, but one never knows what to expect!
