We had to cancel our trip due to health issues my mother experienced prior to the trip. She was going to be watching our children while we were on the trip and due to her health issues she was not able to watch them. Filing the claim was very simple and it was processed quickly with no issues. We will be using AIG again on our next trip.

Aig used the universal "pre existing condition" excuse to deny a valid claim whendaughter became ill and could not travel.

Most plans require that you purchase a policy within 10 - 21 days of your initial trip payment, and insure all prepaid, non-refundable trip costs to receive time sensitive benefits, such as a pre-existing conditions waiver.

Due to an illness suffered on board a cruise ship, I had significant medical expenses. Upon returning home i called AIG and started a claim. I sent in the required documentation and received complete reimbursement in a timely fashion. I am very satisfied with the service I received.

I had to submit a claim due to trip delay (our initial flight was cancelled). The agent told me what was needed, and I sent everything except one item that Allegiant Air hadn't sent me yet. Insuremytrip (AIG TravelGuard plan) called a few days later and said my claim was approved, and I would be reimbursed for the additional expenses that I had submitted. Process seemed flawless and taken care of very quickly. Would highly recommend! Thank you.

Glad we purchased this insurance plan for our trip as we had to cancel our trip due to an illness and death of a family member. I made several calls to the insurance company asking for help with the paper work due to the changing circumstances of our situation and each time, I experienced polite, caring individuals who were happy to assist us. Once I sent out the needed paperwork, our claim was handled and completed in a very fast time frame. We are very happy with the service we received and will definitely look at buying travel insurance from them in the future.

Due to Ft Lauderdale Airport FLL mass shooting on Jan 06, 2017, my JetBlue flight to FLL was canceled, with our cruise leaving 4pm on Jan 07, 1500 miles away. JetBlue Air did not have any seats on Jan 07 that could get my family to Miami in time to catch our cruise. I call Travel Guard AIG number in policy for assistance immediately, and agent was able to book seats on another airline that got us to cruise prior to departure from Miami. Within 3 weeks of filing a claim, AIG paid the claim for the cost four one way tickets costing almost $2k total, to MIA, . It is important to submit all documentation requested by AIG, and be polite and professional. Make sure you save ALL receipts, times and dates, because you will need them to file a claim. Write down details ASAP, before you forget. Also READ your policy. Insurance only covers what is in the policy.
