I understand that the insurance company is based out of Miami and there were two hurricanes back to back. However, I had to send my claim in twice because they said they didn't get the first one. I just forwarded the original email to show it was previously sent. The countdown was started on their end based on the second email. This started their timer a week later than originally submitted. They then arbitrarily changed their deadline from 30 business days to 45 business days. I didn't receive an email about this. A blast email could have been sent to everyone who had filed a claim. While they paid my claim for what I expected, I felt that communication from the insurer was very poor. This is a major negative in my opinion.

I was unable to take my trip, I made an honest effort to reduce claim. My son had died on same day as I was going to leave on my trip. I faxed my claim on 11/07 and got my check on 12/10,2016. This seems a bit long for what should be a straight forward claim. But over all the claim was fair and I would use this company again.
