I had to cancel my trip because of unexpected health issues. AXA uses a subcontractor to actually process the claim. The amount of detailed documentation demanded, and the unending requests for "more" information, dragged for months. Although they did finally reimburse for the appropriate expenses, I actually reduced the amount of my claim during the process because Delta unexpectedly refunded the cost my "nonrefundable" tickets; kudos to Delta. I don't know how AXA would have handled the plane ticket costs or change fee had we needed to resolve that issue, since I couldn't travel within the allotted time frame of allowable reticketing.

Received my check to settle my claim. I am being paid in full for my out-of-pocket medical costs with no deductible as the policy states. Great policy. AXA was quick to process claim and was in communication with us.

Although AXA Assistance USA originally denied my claim, an InsureMyTrip Customer Care representative suggested I file an appeal, which I did, and they approved all of my claim. The plan was good, the Customer Care representative was great.

Unfortunately, we could not go on our long awaited trip as my wife took ill and had to have major surgery. We filed our claim with appropriate medical evidence and were informed that the claim was be settled in 30 days. We are very much impressed and thankful that we received our check even before thirty days. Thank you very much. We certainly like to use InsureMyTrip for our travel insurance needs.
