Nationwide Mutual Insurance Essential
My traveling companion became ill and was unable to take the trip. I tried to use a signed doctor's note from her to claim reimbursement, but Nationwide insisted that I have the doctor fill out their "special" form. I will never use Nationwide Travel Insurance again.

Took 2 months to get a refund of straightforward claim. Every time I called, the representative stated "one more week."

    Thank you for your feedback on the policy. We are sorry to learn that you were dissatisfied with the claims process. However, we are pleased to learn that your claim was paid. In the future, if you experience an issue with a claim, please call InsureMyTrip at 800-487-4722 and request a Customer Advocate. In a situation where a claim is taking an usually long time to process, our Customer Advocates will contact the insurance company on the customers behalf in attempt to expedite the claim.
