The customer service team at AXA Assistance were fabulous. Prior to filing, I had a number of what I felt were unusual questions and options. In a series of several emails, each having a prompt, clearing fair response, I filed my claim. The claim correspondence kept in in the loop regarding where the claim was i their process, and the refund was received in a reasonable time. The entire process was quick, painless and fair and I would highly recommend them.

AXA said the Silver Plan covered new illnesses and then denied this when I reported a new illness. They said that this was because I lived in New York, even tho they always knew this. They simply cheated.

I have often purchased travel insurance for the peace of mind it brings. The last time, I did have to file a medical claim. I got sick while on a cruise and needed treatment that totaled about $1,000. When I got home, I filed a claim with all the proper documentation and the claim was handled promptly. Couldn't be happier. Just purchased the same plan for an upcoming trip and will purchase another for our trip next spring.

We had to cancel a long-planned trip to Australia because of an unexpected health issue. The amount of paperwork required to support the claim was not unreasonable; the claim was accepted as presented on June 8th, and we received a check June18th. While still disappointed over missing the trip, I could not have asked for more regarding the trip insurance coverage. Thank you!

Covered the trip to go to Fiji centering on a cruise. The boat was washed on the reef in a storm so that part was cancelled without reimbursement to us. We filed to recover what we lost on the cruise and you did not pay. We chose to go to Fiji anyway, without the cruise, and had to buy a NEW policy from you to cover the trip. We had no need to use that second policy so i suppose it "worked."

I bought the cancel for any reason rider for 2 trips that might have been canceled and they were. AXA provided the specific information I needed to send them, did so, and they responded in a timely manner upholding their insurance agreement.

We were delayed by more than 24 hours.
In spite of that, all we were compensated for were some of our outlaid expenses. The delay cost us precious time from an expensive trip. There should be a reasonable remuneration for the time lost from our trip.

Thank you very much for your comments regarding the Travel Delay coverage in the Gold plan. As you indicated, AXA would only reimburse you for your paid expenses. Unless the loss of time actually results in increased costs during the trip or unused prepaid expenses, as listed in the policy, there would be no coverage for the inconvenience of the delay in any Comprehensive plan even though it is definitely a disappointment when it occurs during a trip. However, we will bring it up to our various providers. Perhaps some form of reimbursement can be incorporated into future plans.
