We had to submit a claim a few days prior to our scheduled departure date due to the death of a parent. TravelSafe had great claim information online, very nice, helpful people on the phone when we had some follow up questions. After sending in, understandably, a lot of paper work, our claim was paid in full with no additional questions asked.

We took out flight insurance on a European trip scheduled for April 1, 2014. In early March my husband's doctor scheduled surgery for March 14 and told us that he could not make the April 1 trip. We filed our claims on March 6. We received our compensation on May 27. Much detailed paperwork was involved; even proof that we had purchased the policy despite the fact we had a policy number! We feel that TripMate, their claims administrator, was moving intentionally slow. But we were paid in full. Potential buyers should save every receipt and credit card statement and not expect speedy reimbursement.

I have been traveling Internationally for more than 30 years and used travel insurance many times. This is the first claim I have ever filed, due to a family member being place in hospice. I was very displeased with the claims process. I was given bad info twice on the claim when I was trying to dot every "I" and cross every "T" to make sure the claim was processed promptly. As a result the process was bogged down and payment held up, Kudos to InsureMyTrip as they have advocates on staff and the advocate got this in gear for payment.

My family missed a portion of our cruise due to flight delays. Travel safe fully paid our claim for missed days on the cruise without question or hassle. The only reason I deducted one star is because it took about 6 weeks to process.

Due to a flight delay, we were not able to use some pre-paid tickets for events and on top of that, my husband's camera got damaged on one of our excursions. I was skeptical about filing 2 claims for refunds, but was surprised when both were processed and paid in full. Thank you for your service!
