My wife twisted her foot during our trip. We were on a cruise overseas and was not sure how the coverage works on a cruise ship. We sent an email to your customer service department just to inquire the process should we decide to seek medical attention on board. We were disappointed that we didn't receive any response to our inquiry.
Fortunately, my wife was able to self-treat the injury. We didn't need the medical help. This experience caused us to wonder the support we would receive if we ever needed customer service during an emergency.

I was able to get coverage on the day I left which was great. With all the running around preparing for the trip I forgot to get health coverage. The customer service agent was great and everything was taken care of in minutes. What a relief.

I didn't have to use the insurance so cannot really say if there were any bad points. However....I would hate not to have had it and then needed it. - It cost less than $20 so well worth the peace of mind.

I did not have to use my plan so I cannot comment on service for a claim. But, I can say that in general customer service was really good. I originally purchased the plan for a trip to Egypt, but was unable to take that trip due to the unrest there. I contacted HCC and was able to transfer the insurance to trip to China instead. Everything was done via email. I did have to request a copy of the new policy (for China) as it was not automatically sent, but it was easy to do and the plan was promptly sent.
