I did not use the plan. I don't know why you ask these rating questions when I didn't use it , so I don't know if I was satisfied unless I made a claim and saw how you handle the claim and what you deny me or not.
When I did not use the insurance, it DEFINITELY wasn't worth it paying $1100 for it.

Declined coverage of tour canceled by tour operators due to the outbreak of coronavirus. While I was eventually able to recover most funds from tour operators, some related costs were not covered (flights to departure city). Fortunately, the final cost of loss was only around $300, but very disappointed in coverage provided and reaction to request for coverage. Gives a bad name to travel insurance.

Thank you for your review and reply to our offer of assistance from an "Anytime Advocate":
"Thank you for your response and offer of an advocate. However, after requesting status of the claim, I was notified by return phone call today that my claim has been approved and that I should be receiving a check in the mail in about 7 days."
I gave 4 star rating because, all in all, these are a true reflection of product. Unfortunately, I did not anticipate our tour operators license being revoked causing our trip to be "canceled" weeks prior to departure. Our policy for "Cancellation for any reason" excluded this particular situation and our claim promptly denied. My fault for not understanding the exclusion for "tour operator default".
So, for any other reason, this policy is probably great. Unfortunately, I felt the sting of disappointment twice. Once when reading the emailed notice from the Consumer Protection Agency about the revoked license (and loss of $6000) and then again from a claim denial of what I thought would cover "cancellation for any reason" travel insurance.
This was the first and probably last time I will purchase travel insurance.

It is always a disappointment for a traveler to be denied coverage in a claim. Your situation is even more regrettable knowing that your tour operator's license was revoked, which is not a covered reason under Trip Cancellation in any of our plans, resulting in the loss of your hard-earned 6,000 USD in trip cost.
Unfortunately, your Worldwide Trip Protector plan did not include Cancel for Any Reason. Nevertheless that optional coverage was available to you for a higher premium with the Worldwide Trip Protector Plus plan.
We can understand your hesitancy to purchasing travel insurance in the future. However, if you change your mind, we suggest that you call InsureMyTrip at (800) 487-4722 for assistance in quoting and selecting a policy.
C&F Travel Insured InternationalWorldwide Trip Protector Plus
Trip was cancelled due to the company going out of business. C&F only covered 75% of the trip instead of the 100% cancel for any reason as a company going out of business is not one of the anjy reasons listed at 100%. Main reason to buy travel insurance is to cover if the company goes out of business! Claim was handed fast and I had a very pleasant agent. Just not happy that they only covered at 75%

The plan gave me piece of mind . I knew I had coverage in case of need.
On our tour we had 2 other people that did not have any kind of travel insurance and one of them had to go to emergency room. The other one could not Board due to being sick and I suppose had to pay again for her ticket.
