I had to cut short a tour this summer because of a medical problem. At home, I gathered all the documents that the insurer required for Trip Interruption and sent the packet to I Travel Insured by Priority Mail. I called the insurer about ten days after the package had arrived according to USPS tracking. The rep I spoke to checked and said it had NOT arrived--but he would check again and call me back in 2 days. Never happened. So I called again, spoke to someone else and got same response even after I had sent USPS tracking showing the date and time it had arrived and that it had been picked up that day. Neither rep said "sorry," "must be a problem at our end,"--nothing the least bit concerned or helpful. I then contacted Insure My Trip, and they
were extremely helpful!! They contacted this insurer, and, lo and behold, they DID have my packet of documents.
The Insure My Trip person stayed on my case until the claim was approved and my check arrived. 5 stars for Insure My
Trip, no stars for customer service for this insurer, but they did end up paying my claim, thanks to Insure My Trip.
