Not sure I'd use Nationwide cruise insurance again. I used the travel assistance feature due to being delayed 5 days coming home for Hurricane Irma. It took 3 days to get an answer and then was told I'd have to pay a $55 fee for help with new flights plus flight costs.

Very satisfied. Three days before our cruise we had a medical emergency and need to cancel our 12 day cruise. We called claims and were given a claim number, with directions on what was needed to file the claim. Sent all needed paperwork in an email with a PDF file to claims. We received 2 checks in the mail approximately 3 weeks later, minus port taxes that Royal Caribbean refunded. Thank you Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company. We purchased the Essential Plan coverage.

I have insured through Nationwide with almost all of my trips using InsureMyTrip. They are very reasonable for the coverage they offer. This was the first time I have had to file a claim and was pleasantly surprised. The customer service representatives I spoke with were very kind and helpful. They immediately sent me the forms to file and told me all of the paperwork I would need. The claim was handled very quickly with no problems at all. This is the kind of company that I like to deal with and would highly recommend them to anyone. They will continue to be the company I use in the future. Thank you Nationwide for a great experience.

We had to cancel our cruise due to a serious automobile accident my wife was involved in one month before sailing. I contacted Nationwide and they emailed me the claim forms within minutes. The forms were easy to complete and only needed one doctors diagnosis and their signature. Required forms and claim form were able to be emailed back to the company and full refund for both of us was in our hands in 15 days. All the people I spoke to at Nationwide were friendly and helpful. I would defiantly insure my next cruise with them.

For the first time in my travels, I had to file a claim under my travel insurance policy. The claims process was very easy to understand and the customer service team was pleasant to deal with. Once I submitted all of the required documentation, I had a check within 10 days. Would definitely recommend this company.

We were one of the many people who had a flight cancelled due to the recent shooting in Fort Lauderdale. As a result we had to fly into Orlando and take a rental car to Fort Lauderdale. When we arrived home from our cruise I filed a claim with Nationwide for the rental car cost and gasoline. It was approved within a couple of days and we received full reimbursement a week later. We like Nationwide because of the higher medical coverage and equal or shorter delay waiting periods. Most of all we will always use Insure My Trip to secure our trip insurance.

I got the insurance mainly for the medical due to covering pre-existing conditions waiver. It also included compensation if the cruise line changed ports and I still went on the cruise. Cruise line changed the itinerary six months out, which happened just two weeks after I purchased the insurance. Contacted Nationwide to initiate claim, they promptly sent a form to fill out once the cruise was completed. The day I got off the ship, I sent the requested paperwork by email and I received a printed check two weeks later in the mail for the changed port compensation. I was very happy with the quick prompt service without any hassles.
