We used the emergency medical assistance service. The customer service rep was very helpful, but the case manager in the foreign country failed to response to theirs/our request. So despite the state side support, we were unable to obtain a referral for the medical care we needed.

We do want you and your fellow customers to be aware that InsureMyTrip offers a Customer Advocate Program. Customer Advocates are representatives assigned to assist customers who experience issues after filing a claim. Requesting a Customer Advocate is as simple as calling 800-487-4722 or emailing [email protected], explaining the events which resulted in a claim, and the challenges you are facing.
My wife and I had to cancel our trip because she broke her leg. I was happy that I didn't have to jump through too many hoops in filing a claim and getting reimbursement.

I was devastated when my poor friend broke her leg, and we had to miss our "trip of a lifetime". I, as a traveling companion, submitted a claim. The process went very smoothly, and I was reimbursed for the cost of the trip. Two pieces of advice for fellow travelers: buy trip insurance, and buy it from TruTravel!

We bought an insurance package from TruTravel last year for a trip to Tanzania, and had to file a claim when my husband and son's portion of the trip was delayed due to weather at Heathrow. Their added expenses of new air tickets, hotel, transportation and food in London, and the part of the prepaid safari they missed in Tanzania, was mostly covered and we received $10,000 for trip delay and interruption. We worked Kelly Nelson at TruTravel who was extremely helpful and cooperative. We were more than pleased with the outcome.
