The day the WHO declared a global emergency (January 30, 2020) due to corona virus the IMG/Insuremytrip website went dark claiming IT issues. Now 24 days later the site is still down for taking any new claims. Waited for over 3 weeks to file a new claim and still can't. do not trust that this company is financially solvent to follow through with their promised coverage. They have a lot of nerve asking for a review when they still can't process a claim. zero stars were not an option for promptness or satisfaction but should be.

We had a great experience from beginning to end. Booking through insuremytrip.com is easy. This is the fifth time that we have used insuremytrip.com. On this trip we insured four adults. One person in our party contracted pneumonia, and was treated on the cruise ship. The treatment was aggressive and effective, but the total cost was about $11,000, which was paid before disembarking the ship. After submitting the claim to the insurance company, it was paid in full within 30 days -- excellent service. We would certainly purchase this insurance in the future as long as the premium remained reasonable.

First time ever using trip insurance. We ended up cancelling out trip for convenience and used the "cancel for any reason benefit". Filed a claim and within a few weeks they had approved the entire claim and paid us back at 75% of our non-refundable costs.

The plan coverage to cost ratio was great. I did make one small claim for about $175. Unfortunately it took FIVE months for them to process and deposit my claim into my bank account. FIVE months. I have 27 correspondences with them via and 9 phone call records on my phone. I can't even tell you how many questions (emails) went unanswered. I finally had to employ the assistance of a claims specialist from InsureMyTrip.com to look into this. Coincidentally just days later I received my reimbursement. Just a little communication from IMG would've eased the process and kept me from wondering what was going on. I received so much mis-information from them it's not even funny. I felt like I was a supervisor there who needed to constantly remind the staff to follow-up and reiterate repeated information over and over. I booked another plan for the current trip that I am on and it was NOT with IMG.

It's one of the cheaper plans with a long pre-existing condition period, but has really high medical coverage, so that's why I chose it. I had to visit the ER after falling on some ice right before my flight. BRING YOUR CLAIM FORM WITH YOU TO THE DOCTOR! It makes it so much simpler when you want to file your claim since Dr has to fill it out. I asked for refunds from airlines first. Documents required was proof of travel payments (CC statement), itinerary/ticket, claim form, refunds from airlines, discharge with diagnosis, doctors note. My claim was small ($38) so maybe that's why they approved it so quickly and easily. I filed claim by email on 12/11, got confirmation of claim on 12/12, email of claim approval with amount on 12/19, payment direct to my checking account on 12/24. I'm very satisfied, as I expected it to take months, from reading about difficult IMG claims. Of course, I made sure all my documents were in perfect order and it was a small claim from an accident with a US doctor, so maybe that's why. Any claims with the possibility of pre-existing conditions might take much longer to process, requiring medical records from the hospital/doctor.

Due to winter storm, my travel home was interrupted. The claim process was clear with instructions and required documents. My claim was processed for my travel interruption in two weeks. Would consider using iTravelInsured again when I am traveling.

Incurred major medical expenses as a result of my wife experiencing medical problems while on a cruise. This involved having to leave the ship, a 4+ hour ambulance ride an overnight stay in a Mexican hospital and an unexpected flight back to Fort Lauderdale. I cannot say enough good things about the reimbursement process with IMG. They accepted all documentation (even medical reports in Spanish) without asking more, the claim was processed timely, email communications described where the claim was in processing. When I did call to check on the process, the customer service rep could not have been more helpful. I would definitely recommend IMG.

We lost expensive train tickets. I called the company and was told how to file a claim and the agent told me we were covered up to $150/ per ticket. We had to repurchase the tickets for our return trip on the train.
We filed all the appropriate paperwork but the claim was denied as lost tickets aren't covered. I wish we had been told this when I called. Very disappointing to find this out after going through the process of completing paperwork.

    We apologize for the confusion. Unfortunately there is no reimbursement for lost tickets as you were told by the iTravelInsured claims department. Travel providers do not like to deny a claim before reviewing all the details. Although this takes time, it is also for your protection and ensures that your claim would not be unfairly declined without first reviewing the details.
