We had to use our AXA Assistance USA Gold insurance plan due to an unforeseen surgery. AXA was very easy to work with through the claims process. They were timely and very fair with the resulting compensations. We recommend this company and policy.

My wife was seriously injured on a trip to India and Bhutan. We missed two days of activities on the tour and this insurance company, AXA, reimbursed for those days. There was no fuss, no argument, just cooperation and payment. This is the best.

We were extremely unhappy that AXA would not reimburse us for a missed connection. We recommend that anyone considering this trip insurance not buy it. We paid more for AXA insurance than our friends who bought AAA insurance. Our friends were reimbursed immediately for the same missed connection while AXA refused to pay for the additional tickets that we had to purchase when our connection was missed due to a airplane mechanical problem. We appealed the refusal and were told since technically the delay did not meet their "3 hour requirement" they would not reimburse us. When asked if a appeal like this was ever granted we were told to the agent's knowledge "no such appeal had ever been granted".

AXA Assistance USA Gold plan provided excellent travel coverage! We won't hesitate to purchase this insurance for our next trip. Thank you!

I bought this plan for my husband and myself for a trip to Australia. I have always used insuremytrip and never needed to file a claim, this time we did. AXA settled our claim in a prompt and professional manner. We had to buy some last minute replacement tickets from Adelaide to Sydney so as to not miss our International flight when our booked flight was canceled. AXA reimbursed us the price of the new tickets and the hotel we missed using. I will always buy trip insurance from insure my trip and will definitely always look and see if the AXA plan is available. Great service, Thanks.

I purchased this insurance mainly for the overseas medical coverage. But before the trip, I experienced an unexpected medical event which prevented me from travelling. I called the provided number, and explained the situation. A claim form was immediately emailed to me. The forms were fairly simple. I sent the required documents to the company, and received a check reimbursing the entire non-refundable trip cost. The process was pretty quick and painless. Very good.

Unfortunately our trip had to be cancelled due to medical reasons. Provided all necessary paperwork to AXA by registered mail and followed up with phone call to confirm that all documentation required had been received. Their claims department stated that we would hear in approximately 30 days. When that date had passed and we had not heard we called them. At that point AXA informed us that the actual claim form had not been included in the package! There were several phone calls between ourselves and AXA over a period of 2 days, after which we received an e-mail stating our claim had been processed and approved in full. Apart from those final 2 days we received a good response from the company.

We were very satisfied with our coverage and the quality of our AXA Assistance USA Gold plan. Unfortunately we had to cancel our trip due to a family emergency. The staff and administrators of the plan were extremely professional, helpful, and prompt in processing our claim. I will continue to recommend this plan and company to my friends and family.

We had to cancel our entire trip and AXA covered all of the non-refundable expenses. They were great.
