I had to file a claim because I was not able to go on my vacation to Mexico due to work related issues. I had purchased the TravelSafe Classic plan which has a work related clause. I was refunded all expenses including non refundable air fare.

Had to cancel our trip last minute, and filed a claim to cover lost deposits and non-refundable things. Other than the fact that the plan only covers a single airline award redeposit fee up to $150 (which was much less than ours ended up being), everything in the claim was paid promptly, and with no fuss. I will be purchasing from this company again when we plan our do-over trip.

I bought the policy thinking I may not be able to go because of work, but I ended up getting sick and was not able to travel. I had to go to the hospital to get a doctor's note, but was able to file the claim with the supporting documentation, and they covered the cost of the airline ticket change fee and one night of non-refundable lodging. I spent twenty minutes on the phone between two calls, and received a check within a month of filing. I did not think I would need it, but glad I had it.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our trip because a family member became seriously ill. I had never had a trip insurance claim before and wasn't sure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at the prompt and helpful service I received and the prompt claim payment. I made several calls to discuss questions and each representative was friendly, helpful and caring. It made the very difficult time easier to cope with.

We were very happy with the help we had purchasing the insurance. Unfortunately, we had a flight canceled due to weather. We called the travel assistance number, and the service agent was very helpful in explaining what we needed to do and what would be covered. The representative opened the claim, and not long after we arrived back home, the claim forms were there. We filled them out and sent them in. Within a week the claim was processed and we received payment. We are very satisfied with the service.

It took over 16 weeks, over 120 pages faxed (some of it multiple times) and far too many telephone calls to resolve my claim. And, yes, I submitted all they asked for on the forms they requested including proof of insurance payment in a timely fashion. I even provided a spreadsheet because our situation was slightly more complicated. Claims are processed through a third party administrator and you are never able to speak to the claims examiner. Updates consist of a generic postcard or a generic entry on their website. It added so much stress to an already difficult situation. Yes, we got most of our money refunded but the process is designed to wear you out so you give up. Even when we got the checks the summary of payment was almost impossible to decipher. It was only because of my determination and insistence that our claim was resolved to my satisfaction.

Really not pleased with the lost luggage component of the policy, when our luggage was lost for 4 days. I really felt the after hours staff had no compassion, was less than helpful and lacked a customer service approach. We had, after all, paid for the insurance.

Very disappointing. I filed a claim and the company worked hard to not reimburse us despite the fact that it was a legitimate claim; very frustrating. I needed a lawyer and two appeals to get a fair reimbursement.

We had 1 of 3 bags lost for 9 days. The travel assistance company was constantly in touch with us and the air carrier with trying to locate and return the bag and their service was very good. However, the actual claim filing and processing time was lengthy and the phone representatives were not very friendly. Lastly $250 max for a day or 2 delay is ok, but for 9 days with clothing for 2 kids, $250 does not get you far clothing kids on vacation with no wash machine access.
