C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
I've always gotten travel insurance before big international trips. This time, we learned my wife was pregnant before the trip even began, and would be too far along to travel as planned. I found that pregnancy was a covered condition for canceling a trip, and they processed the claim quickly and easily. We weren't out of pocket for the canceled trip, and are expecting a baby soon.

    Congratulations! You were fortunate that you selected the C and F Travel Insured Worldwide Trip Protector plan since not all plans include pregnancy as a covered reason to cancel.

    As it appears in your policy,
    "v. Your or Your Traveling Companion’s normal pregnancy or attending the childbirth of Your Family Member. The pregnancy must occur after the Policy Effective Date and be verified by medical records..."

    Please note that the pregnancy must occur after you purchase the policy in order for that coverage to apply.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector Plus
We did not get to go on our trip to Amsterdam, do to losing my job.
We got our money back, customer service was real helpful, nice to us.

We hope to go in 2020, on our trip to Amsterdam, I will make sure to use
C&F Travel insured international.

We have been purchasing travel insurance for at least 20 years when cruising. unfortunately we had to cancel our trip due to an unexpected illness and surgery. This was the first claim we have ever had to file and we were extremely pleased with the promptness that this claim was handled.

Had to file few claims: 1) travel cancellation (one person got sick during the trip and couldn't make prepaid tours). It was a little hassle to get proper documentation from the doctor but at the end, we received compensation from CF. 2) Lost baggage (an expensive item was lost during travel). This claim was processed fast without too much back and forth hassle. Overall, price of the policy is decent and I am glad we had it since, unfortunately, we had to use it this time.
I recommend CF and will be using it in the future

I gave 4 star rating because, all in all, these are a true reflection of product. Unfortunately, I did not anticipate our tour operators license being revoked causing our trip to be "canceled" weeks prior to departure. Our policy for "Cancellation for any reason" excluded this particular situation and our claim promptly denied. My fault for not understanding the exclusion for "tour operator default".

So, for any other reason, this policy is probably great. Unfortunately, I felt the sting of disappointment twice. Once when reading the emailed notice from the Consumer Protection Agency about the revoked license (and loss of $6000) and then again from a claim denial of what I thought would cover "cancellation for any reason" travel insurance.

This was the first and probably last time I will purchase travel insurance.

    It is always a disappointment for a traveler to be denied coverage in a claim. Your situation is even more regrettable knowing that your tour operator's license was revoked, which is not a covered reason under Trip Cancellation in any of our plans, resulting in the loss of your hard-earned 6,000 USD in trip cost.

    Unfortunately, your Worldwide Trip Protector plan did not include Cancel for Any Reason. Nevertheless that optional coverage was available to you for a higher premium with the Worldwide Trip Protector Plus plan.

    We can understand your hesitancy to purchasing travel insurance in the future. However, if you change your mind, we suggest that you call InsureMyTrip at (800) 487-4722 for assistance in quoting and selecting a policy.

No one contacted me more than 2 weeks after I filed a claim. I called and left messages an no one returned my call after 3 days. I had to call again.

I am not sure if I want to buy travel insurance from you again.

Trip was cancelled due to the company going out of business. C&F only covered 75% of the trip instead of the 100% cancel for any reason as a company going out of business is not one of the anjy reasons listed at 100%. Main reason to buy travel insurance is to cover if the company goes out of business! Claim was handed fast and I had a very pleasant agent. Just not happy that they only covered at 75%

Lengthy review process and incompetent claims agents exacerbated the time it took to review my claim and only paid out a portion of the claim. I provided the claim form and supporting documentation, including an excel spreadsheet with sufficient detail the first time I submitted the claim. The agent requested said claim form and said documentation nearly two weeks later and then offered a portion of the claim about a week later. Look elsewhere.

    We are sorry to hear that you are disappointed in the claim process and apologize for any inconvenience that you may have experienced. You first submitted your claim on 10/17/2018, but your check was not issued until 11/12/2018. That is a little longer than Crum and Forster Travel Insured's usual turnaround time of two to three weeks. In addition, you submitted your claim under Travel Delay which has a maximum limit of 1,000 USD (200 USD per day) for each traveler, so if you were delayed for only one day, your maximum reimbursement would be only 400 USD for two people.

C&F Travel Insured International Worldwide Trip Protector
I purchased this plan for our October 2018 Florida vacation. I have always purchased travel insurance for beach trips during hurricane season, but I have never had to use it. A week before we were supposed to arrive, Hurricane Michael hit the Florida panhandle and caused a great deal of destruction to the area we were going. No power, no water, roads destroyed, rentals damaged. I submitted my claim on 10/12 and received my reimbursement from Travel Insured International on 11/13. I have no complaints and I would use this company again. Always read the fine print on any travel insurance before you buy and make sure it covers what your concerns are. I will continue to use Insuremytrip.com.
