This company is super sneaky and you should read their terms with magnified glass. I usually good at going over exception and exclusions as one can't go over every paragraph of text but yet they denied the coverage when my wife missed the flight stating there is no coverage for trip interruption due to airline fault. when i pointed out their hazard clause includes any delays due to common carrier, the company came back stating only trip delays that cause the loss over 50% of the trip would be covered. I would recommend everyone to stay out of this one but what you decide is totally up to you, of course

Unfortunately, it was determined that the event that interrupted her trip did not fall within the scope of Trip Interruption for this specific plan.
As you mentioned the certificate states the following under Trip Interruption: "Your arrival on the Trip being delayed due to a Hazard that causes You to lose 50% or more of the scheduled Trip duration"
