Filed claim on Sept. 23, 2024 received check for correct payment on Oct 29, 2024. Did have to call with questions a couple of times, short wait time to speak to a representative.

We had to cancel our cruise because I was having back issues, requiring back surgery. We bought the plan in time for the preexisting condition waiver to be in effect. I filed the claim on August 8, 2024 and finally received payment on October 18, 2024. We are pleased that they paid the claim, but they did not pay promptly. I'm just happy they paid, finally!

Well done all around. Wanted only primary medical which you offered. Only glitch was it not being clear to me how to file the claim, what forms were needed. But your staff were easy to reach and helped me out.

Most reviews are just people saying they felt secure knowing they had insurance, but never actually filed a claim so that’s not really a legitimate review in my opinion because you don’t have the experience of what happens when the company is held to fulfill its responsibility. I did file a claim so I can report on this with certainty. Overall, I was satisfied with the result. My only complaint is that they drug their feet quite a bit on processing the claim. After submitting the documents, including all of the receipts for everything, I didn’t hear from them for over a week. I emailed them and they said that it takes time to process the receipts. Then they said they needed me to submit more documentation including emails from hotels and my credit card statement showing the purchases, even though I had submitted receipts with my name and last four digits of my credit card number on them. I don’t know why they needed two different proof of purchases for the same purchases, especially since the cash purchases didn’t require anything other than a receipt. Seemed like a delay tactic or a beaurocratic move. After I went through the trouble of printing out my credit card statement and emails and scanning and uploading them. I didn’t hear back for over a week again so I finally had to contact them and ask what’s going on. They said to allow up to 15 business days (3 weeks) to review. This was a cut and dry claim due to the global IT outage. It should not have take so long to resolve in my opinion. They ended up approving everything except for the hotel stay that I missed due to the outage. They said that only travel expenses booked before I had left for my trip were covered and anything booked while on the trip was not and since I booked this hotel while on the trip it wasn’t covered. Seems sus to me but I accepted what they offered. They paid by check through the mail and cannot do payment with technology from this century such as PayPal or direct deposit. All told, I began the claim in August and was paid out in October. Due to the snails pace processing time, bureaucratic red tape and that I had to follow up with them just to get any information. I probably would not use this company again.

Travel Insured International was very helpful in all stages of filing a claim. They answered all my questions and followed up with me. The forms were detailed, yet once completed, my claim was approved in a few weeks.

I have always recommended your plan to all groups I lead and have been satisfied with the price but this one time - no

Terrible Company. Do not use Travel Insured. During Delta Airlines' total meltdown in late July 2024, our Delta flight was delayed and then cancelled, and we were rebooked by Delta on another airline in a different city the next day. Upon returning from our international trip, I filed with Travel Insured for expenses associated with the delay and have been met with a bureaucratic nightmare.

I have provided Travel Insured with a photo of the gate at our original airport showing that our flight was delayed, a screenshot of Delta's website showing that our flight was cancelled, copies of our boarding passes with Delta for the originally scheduled flight, and boarding passes for the flight we eventually took the next day. This is apparently not sufficient proof to Travel Insured that our flight was delayed.

Travel Insured keeps asking me for a letter from Delta that Delta has told me it won't provide. (I tried getting this letter both through Delta's website and via their customer service phone line.) Travel Insured is asking for copies of meal/lodging receipts I have already sent them. Fortunately, the amount of my claim is not large, so this won't be devastating if, as it seems, I never end up getting paid. I would, however, hate to be in a position where I was out a large sum of money and was relying on Travel Insured to make things whole. I will never, ever insure with them again.
