We have used insuremytrip.com for purchasing trip insurance for years. Fortunately, we have never had to file a claim until now. We had our car broken in to. Our daughter's passport, drivers license, and other travel items were stolen the night before our international trip. There was no time or means to get a replacement passport and only one flight per week to our destination. This was why we bought trip insurance.

WorldTrips had a clever out to avoid paying our claim. Anything that is not in the list of covered items or circumstances was not covered.

I will not be using WorldTrips again.

I purchased this trip in case my uncle passed and we needed to cancel our trip. Unfortunately, he did, but it didn't affect our vacation. Then my child's mental health began to decline rapidly and she ended up being hospitalized. Since we canceled a portion of our trip while we were researching mental hospitals rather than waiting to cancel until after she was admitted, they denied our claim, stating the policy was not "in effect" since we canceled that portion of our trip too early. How convenient for them! Beware - make sure you cancel your trip from your hospital bed!

By far the best travel insurance that I purchased all these years. Filing a claim was so easy. I filed a claim for Trip Interruption and submitted all the required documents. In less than a week, claim was completed. Received the check in the mail the following week. Amazing! Highly recommended!!!

I bought the WorldTrips Atlas Journey Economy plan in early 2023 because I'm always a little bit concerned when traveling in Middle East. In this case, I was going on a private tour through Native Eye, an E.U. travel company, to Saudi Arabia. The policy I purchased specifically covers for terrorist activity.
Several months after Israel was attacked and things escalated in the Middle East, I received a notice from the U.S. State Department warning not to travel to Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries because of extreme danger and the likeliness of terrorist activity. I canceled my trip with Native Eye and filed a claim requested that my deposit be returned. My claim was denied. I wrote several e-mails to WorldTrips and found them to be very elusive and noncommunicative. To this day, I have never gotten a reasonable explanation why the claim was denied, other than to receive policy "boilerplate" terms and conditions. I would not recommend using this Company.

I have used my trip insurance numerous times and the first time I needed to use it they didn’t reimburse anything on the grounds that it didn’t insure us in our home country when we were visiting our home country and reside in Egypt and were only going home on vacation

My wife and I came down with Covid-19 while on a guided hiking trip to Glacier National Park. We had to leave the trip and self-quarantine for five days before returning home. World Trips processed our claim promptly and reimbursed us for the lost trip segment plus the additional costs that we incurred in staying in self-quarantine.
