I have been buying travel/medical insurance for years, and like many others, I have never had to use it. Unfortunately, my record of not having to use my travel/medical insurance came to an end while on a 2 month trip to Thailand.

I had a medical issue that had been ongoing for about 4 days that seemed to be getting worse. I contacted GeoBlue with my issue and without hesitation they assisted me in finding a hospital of my choice. The hospital was in-network, so therefore, I had no deductible. They forwarded the paperwork to the hospital and it was waiting for me when I arrived by Uber. After consultation with a emergency room doctor, it was concluded that 3 tests would be performed: complete blood test, sonar, and x-ray. Fortunately, everything came back negative and after a few days everything returned to normal and I continued my trip without incident.

GeoBlue stood behind its policy without question. They were incredibly helpful and followed up with me to make sure everything was okay and ask if they could do anything else for me. It's nice to know that you have insurance company looking out for your best interest when you are 10k miles from home--I never thought I would say that about an insurance company. GeoBlue is highly recommended and I won't considered any other insurance company for overseas travel.

My husband died suddenly while we were vacationing in Costa Rica. I called GeoBlue and they were MOST helpful every step of the way. They assisted with the transport of the body to the funeral home, made all the arrangements necessary for them. GeoBlue also provided a name at the US Embassy as my contact person who took care of the death certificate and the mortuary passport for the remains to be brought back to the United States. I do not believe I could have done all of this without the help and support of GeoBlue and have recommended them to all my family and friends.

I cannot begin the describe how utterly satisfied I am with GeoBlue. I wish all companies were as fantastic as GeoBlue. Every customer service interaction was handled professionally and thoroughly. GeoBlue is fantastic. I cannot speak of other travel insurance companies, but I will not look any further. GeoBlue will not disappoint. They are perfect in every way.

I filed a claim, but didn't hear back for two weeks now. Finally they send me a letter telling me that the two claims I filed are not covered.

The two claims were for change of travel plans due to hazardous weather conditions. Local authorities closed the harbor and sent out a notice for safety warning for the entire city. I lost money on the ferry and the hotel that I would have used!

Fell down in small town France and did Bad Things to my wrist. Suffered overnight (of course it was Sat night) and went to ER in middle size town France Sunday morning. I am a physician who speaks some French. Well cared for, got physician exam, Xrays and even CT scan (would have wanted Xrays in US--probably not CT scan). Physician gave me his note (in French) and a prescription for a brace (appropriate care for my severe sprain with no fracture) and directions to the "on call" pharmacy for the region to get the splint. Drove about 30 miles, got the splint and off we went. When I got home 2 weeks later, went to GeoBlue website and filled out claim, scanned my ER note and prescription and submitted it. 2 weeks later claim was pain less the $50 deductible. Total satisfaction. One fo my big issues before I bought this coverage was the paucity of "I used it and ti worked" reviews as opposed to the "I was so relieved that I had it but never needed it" reviews. Bravo Zulu--well done to GeoBlue for doing what they said they would do

I never get sick or have problems and what do you know I was at the ER three times and sick in Australia! Geoblue was helpful when I had to call with a couple of questions and paid their portion of my hospital and medical costs. I will never travel without it again. Thanks so much Geoblue.

it took over a year and several submission of the claim and several rejections before they decide to pay the claim.. you can never speak to someone on the claim department.... I will NEVER buy this insurance again or recommend to anyone.
